hardwood floor. He blinked a couple of times, the sheer unfamiliarity with the surroundings making him momentarily dizzy. Sunlight streamed through the high windows, dust motes dancing in the rays. The room itself was sparsely furnished, just a large bed, a chest, and a chair. Everything looked plain, almost deliberately so. 「这是哪儿?」 he muttered, pushing himself up. His head throbbed, and his body felt like scrap metal. He swung his legs over the side of the bed, the wooden floor cold against his bare soles. Looking around again, he noticed details he'd missed before. The wood grain of the furniture was deep and rich, carvings barely visible around the bedpost. The room smelled faintly of old wood and something else... something clean, like damp earth and lavender. He spotted a door off to the side, made of the same dark wood, with no handle, just a simple iron band. His curiosity piqued, he eased himself off the bed and walked over. He试验性地推了推, but it was firmly locked. Okay, first problem. How the hell did he get here, and how did he get out?
