They felt like the mummies of a village that had long since been abandoned. "See, I told you we shouldn't have come here," said Ji Zhengang, his voice tinged with a hint of fear. "This place gives me the creeps." Wang Meng ignored him and continued to stride down the path. He had been to many places, but this village was different. There was an air of desolation that seemed to cling to the air, making it hard to breathe.
